Zorg Solutions
I formed Zorg Solutions with a group of colleagues and investers on departing Research Machines (RM) after they relocated the EasyTrace offices to their Abingdon/Didcot offices.
The initial concept product was a peer-to-peer business work-flow engine. Taking the best of the consumer market and the business market and combining them into something new and totally different, and able to be used in a variety of ways.
Zorganiser (the product name) was usable in a wide variety of solutions:-
- For managing and deploying your test and production systems to large numbers of servers and reducing the need to manually do the deployment
- For naming and joining computers into your domain as they boot up for the first time (ideal for large numbers of virtual machines)
- To let you move data around - for example bulk creation of users in Active Directory from another source system such as Excel, and to keep them in synch as you add more people to excel
- To monitor things from a wide variety of locations - for example to check that your site is up and trigger actions when it goes down
As a general automation system combined with a business process tool like Biztalk it's an unparalleled concept and I'm looking forward to making it the best in the market place if I resume it.
Unfortunately I had to abandon Zorg when the other investers withdrew due to the economic troubles in 2010 and instead went contracting.
I have since created Fizl Ltd to do research and consulting entirely under my own control and funding.
